Bungalow in the Park
In the historic neighborhood of Washington Park in Denver, Colorado, sits a charming bungalow-style home that serves as the backdrop for this project. The clients envisioned two “sister” windows flanking their fireplace in the main living room and gave me creative freedom—with just one delightful guideline: incorporate shades of blue and green. They also requested that the windows be seamlessly sealed into the existing frames, creating a smooth, uninterrupted transition from sill to glass.
And that’s where the fun truly began. I developed a range of concepts inspired by the Craftsman era, each offering its own character and flair. Once the final design was chosen, I selected cathedral-style glass to make the most of the southern exposure, allowing sunlight to flood through and cast dancing reflections across the room throughout the day. To achieve a balanced palette, we paired muted greens and blues with more saturated tones, creating depth and harmony.
Below, you’ll find the results—a thoughtful blend of classic beauty, vibrant color, and skillful installation.
